About Lisa M. Eytel

Dr. Lisa M. Eytel joined Boise State University in 2019 and is currently a clinical assistant professor with the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. She received a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry and an M.S. in Chemistry both from the University of Oregon. Lisa’s previous teaching experience includesmentoring undergraduate and first-year graduate students in an organic chemistry research laboratory and participating in a Mobile Summer Institute on Scientific Teaching. Her recent research involves synthesizing arylethynyl bis-urea receptors for anion detection. Lisa is also an active member of the American Chemistry Society’s Division of Professional Relations, coordinating events to continue to diversify the field of chemistry and ensure a welcoming environment to all, including women and LGBTQ+ chemists.
