Abstract
This season’s final concert will be a collaboration between the Kandinskys and the Les Bois String Trio, ensemble-in-residence at Boise State University. The Les Bois String Trio includes violinist Craig Purdy, violist Linda Kline Lamar and Cellist Brian Hodges. The Kandinsky Trio is in its twenty-third season and is celebrating one of the longest and most successful artist residencies in the United States. The performance will feature different combinations of these celebrated players as they offer the Boccherini C Major Cello Duo, Mozart’s Duo in G Major for violin and viola and a string trio by David Johnson. These selections will be followed by the incomparable Franck Piano Quintet in F minor. This is one of the most passionate, dramatic and stormy pieces in the entire chamber repertoire.
