Abstract
The hypothesis investigated by Bennett, Bendersky, and Lewis (2002) has 2 components.
The first concerns relations between events and emotions, and the second concerns
relations between emotions and facial expressions. These components should
be conceptually distinguished, independently investigated, and separately evaluated.
