About Linda Ganstrom

Utilizing the format of figurative ceramics, Linda Ganstrom explores issues that relate personal experiences to big questions. Travel to Europe, China and Mexico, in addition to extensive art travel in the US has significantly impacted Ganstrom’s worldview and art. Her ecumenical, international perspective reinforced her beliefs that all mankind is motivated by the same love and fear. If we are to build a better future, we must respect our differences and celebrate our commonalities while seeking creative solutions to our significant challenges. This philosophy fueled her work dealing with spiritual, religious, environmental and political themes as illustrated through the figure and designed experience installations.  Foundational to her beliefs and art, the Butterfly Affect and Chaos Theory celebrate the power of the individual, stress personal responsibility and acknowledge our collective impact. Her belief that everyone is an Artist/Creative, fuels her work in art education, studio practice and community service.
