LIBstick: More than a “Cosmetic” Solution for Alma Label Printing
GALILEO Interconnected Libraries 2021 (2021)

Abstract
The KSU Library System began using SpineOMatic for label printing after the Alma implementation in 2017. It worked fine for us for a while but last year we ran into a little problem; SpineOMatic only supports Windows Operating Systems which caused problems for some of our staff who switched to using a Mac. How could we solve this problem? We started researching and found LIBstick (Library sticker) printing app developed by Technion Libraries IS in 2019. This application is fully integrated with Alma, simple to use, and is accessible via a browser with no installation needed. It has lots of useful features that SpineOMatic can not accomplish such as no restriction on the operating system; flexibility; can run batch or print a single label; a drag and drop feature; shared label templates and works with any printer.
In the presentation, we will demonstrate how we configured the LIBstick application within Alma and how it works. We hope other libraries will benefit from this presentation by learning about this alternative label printing app that could help streamline label printing workflows.
