Abstract
Generation C You have heard about the Millennials, and Generations X, Y, and Z, but what do you know about the group called Generation C? This session will look at a new generation which is being defined by the way they use information, not by their birth dates. The “C” can alternately stand for Content, Creative, Community, Consumption, Connected or Cash. They share certain attributes; they not only want to access information, they want to create their own content. They are both producers and consumers. They use social networking tools to share the content that they create. They are even beginning to sell their user-generated content to companies and advertisers. This generation is changing the way we think about content creation, communication, and networking. Theyare having, and will continue to have a significant impact on the way we teach and learn.
