About Leslie Cochrane

Professor Cochrane's research focuses on spoken, written, and online English, especially discourse by and about people with disabilities. Her work draws on discourse analysis and sociocultural linguistics. She includes undergraduate students in her research by running the Discourse Analysis Research Group at William & Mary. At William & Mary, Professor Cochrane has been the recipient of the Thomas Jefferson Teaching Award, a Fellow for the Center of the Liberal Arts, a Fellow of the W&M Scholars Undergraduate Research Experience, and a STLI Fellow for Excellence in Teaching.
