About Dr Leonardo J Raznovich

Dr. Leonardo J Raznovich, LL.B. (University of Buenos Aires), LL.M. (Harvard Law School), D.Phil. (University of Oxford), is a former Head of Law (2008-2010) and Principal Lecturer in law (until 2012) at Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU) in the UK. He served as a Law Lecturer at the Truman Bodden Law School of the Cayman Islands.
Dr. Raznovich until 2015. Dr. Raznovich was admitted as a lawyer in Argentina in 1995 and was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2010. Since 1995, he has gained significant experience in the areas of litigation, international arbitration, public and private law disputes and corporate law, across civil and common law jurisdictions. Dr. Raznovich is also a practising mediator, accredited by the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution in the UK.
Dr. Raznovich was the Head of the Division for Law and Dispute Resolution at CCCU between 2008 and 2010. His work in such role provided him with a unique opportunity to gain significant experience in the development of the university LL.B. He also served as Convenor of the Legal Education Section of the Society for Legal Scholars Conference in the U.K. for the triennium 2009/2011.

His research interests include comparative civil procedure and evidence law, dispute resolution, judicial reform and gender studies being areas in which he has published a book and several articles in both Spanish and English law journals and featured in a TEDx Talk organised by the University College of the Cayman Islands.
He has also developed a research interest and published in the field of international private law in particular in the areas recognition of marriages across jurisdictions and unjust enrichment.
He served in the LGBT Action Group of the Kent Police in the U.K. He was invited along with other experts to assit the government of Montenegro regarding rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people in the country. He has also been Lovells Visiting Lecturer in Anglo-American Law (2002-2003) at the School of Law of Heinrich Heine Universität, Düsseldorf, Germany, Visiting Professor (2007) of the Catholic University of Valparaiso in Chile and a guest lecturer at universities in the USA, France and China.
