Abstract

The simulation of seismic sources and the interaction of the resulting elastic waves and topography is discussed for an explosive source in a half-space and in a half-space containing a slot or a step using the finite difference method. Displacement fields (numerical visualisations), synthetic seismograms, relative intensities and wave spectral analyses are the main data produced.
