Description
The development of non-destructive testing techniques which provide reliable quantitative defect characterisation is of considerable importance. This is particularly so if full advantage is to be taken of fracture mechanics and if the concept of Retirement-for-Cause (RFC) is to be applied to critical aero-space components.
