Abstract

The goal of organizational re-engineering is to streamline processes and maximize use of resources so that an organization can do more with less often because there is less available. Many libraries are facing this situation and must figure out how to succeed when resources are disappearing. This chapter discusses the necessary sacrifices a library department might make in order to maintain staff morale and health while accomplishing more with less.
