Abstract
This report, Tracking Enforcement Trends in the City of St. Louis, 2002-2017 examines trends for five types of enforcement actions including felony, misdemeanor, and municipal arrests, arrests for bench warrants, and summonses-in-lieu of arrest. The report analyzes these actions by demographic characteristics (age, gender, race/ethnicity) as raw numbers as well as rates. The report analyzes these actions by demographic characteristics (age, gender, race/ethnicity) as raw numbers as well as rates.

This is the second report coming out of the Research Network on Misdemeanor Justice, an alliance of eight jurisdictions examining trends in the enforcement and disposition of lower-level offenses. The Research Network sites bring together university researchers and local data partners, such as police, corrections, and courts, to help inform criminal justice policy reform.
