Abstract
To our knowledge, there has not been a structured review of the literature on factors effecting pre-medical student success with LCME US medical school admissions. Studies have reviewed GPA and standardized test (MCAT) scores within single institutions (Ogger, 2016); however, none included a breadth of factors across many schools. In this review, we hope to demonstrate the best practices for US pre-medical students and pre-medical programs/activities for students seeking admission to US medical schools.
