Abstract
In an ideal scenario, innovation districts can revive areas that lack economic vibrancy, promoting social and economic mobility for low-economic-status neighbors. But ensuring that long-term residents remain on hand to take part in an innovation district’s advantages requires intentional efforts to blunt the commodification of university-adjacent property.
