Topics such as justice, equity and inclusion have been part of discussions in education and in different historical moments in both international as well as in Peruvian contexts. The present essay aims at conceptualizing justice in education in Peru through a comparative analysis that takes into account three fundamental elements: historical, social and political moments; the evolution of the theoretical thinking on justice, equity and inclusion and, finally, the contextualized educational experience. These elements are part of macro historical and political processes as spaces for local implementation of programs and reform which underscore equity and inclusion in the Peruvian education. From a comparative studies approach,

this essay draws on the contributions generated by this area of knowledge and on its efforts to modifications in both, the paradigm as well as the educational actions allowing changes in theory and in practice. For all of the above, this research wants to propose new methodological tools that would bring us closer to social justice through education in Peru.

Resumen: Los temas de justicia, equidad e inclusión han sido parte de la discusión educativa en diferentes momentos históricos tanto en contextos internacionales como en el Perú. Este ensayo propone conceptualizar la justicia en la educación en Perú a través de un análisis comparado que toma en cuenta tres elementos fundamentales: momentos histórico-político-sociales; la evolución del pensamiento teórico alrededor de la justicia, la equidad y la inclusión y, finalmente, la experiencia educativa contextualizada. Estos elementos integran procesos macro históricos y políticos como espacios locales de implementación de reformas y programas educativos que han enfatizado la equidad y la inclusión en la educación peruana. Desde el enfoque de los estudios comparados, este artículo se apoya en las contribuciones generadas por esta área de conocimientos y en sus aportes a la transformación, tanto de paradigmas como de acciones educativas, que permiten cambios en la teoría y en la práctica. Por todo lo anterior, esta investigación se propone exponer nuevas herramientas metodológicas que permitan lograr un mayor acercamiento a la justicia social en el Perú desde la educación.
