About Laura A. Levy

Laura Levy has been with the Department of PA Studies since 1999. She brings to the program a wealth of knowledge and experience in family medicine and women's health issues. This professional experience has given her an excellent background in preparing students for all aspects of primary care practice. She has been instrumental in developing curricula and acts as an advisor to the Sara Somers Rupert Student Society Class officers.
Ms. Levy is currently pursuing a doctorate in Health Sciences. She earned a Master of Medical Science degree from Saint Francis College, a Bachelor of Science from Hahnemann University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Sociology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Ms. Levy has authored articles on plantar fasciitis and medical simulation. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Pennsylvania Society of Physician Assistants. She is a nationally board certified Physician Assistant and currently licensed to practice as a Physician Assistant in the state of Pennsylvania
