About Laura Greiss Hess

Laura Greiss Hess is an occupational therapist (OT) whose education, clinical and research experience spans over 22 years of work with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders and their families. She completed her PhD in Education at the University of California, Davis, her MS in Occupational Therapy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her BS in Special Education and Human Development at Vanderbilt University. Laura’s professional background and formal training include: OT (U.C. Davis MIND Institute and school-based practice), special education teacher, comprehensive certification in sensory integration and certification in assistive technology applications. She has collaborated on research publications and presented nationally and internationally on fragile X syndrome, autism spectrum disorders, sensory processing, interdisciplinary team collaboration, imitation / motor development, school-based OT and assistive technology.
