About Laura Cunningham

Before joining the Cardozo faculty, Professor Cunningham was a member of the San Francisco law firm of Janin, Morgan & Brenner, where her practice focused on tax and estate planning. From 1988 to 1991, she was acting assistant professor of law at New York University. From 2001 to 2006, she was Cardozo's vice dean. She has written on income tax, partnership tax, estate tax, and trusts and estates, and is a coauthor of The Logic of Subchapter K: A Conceptual Guide to the Taxation of Partnership and Partners.
