Abstract

Marshall University and West Virginia are actively promoting the use of open textbooks to save students money and to facilitate open pedagogy. This session will briefly address the features of open textbooks, the extent to which they have already been adopted by faculty at Marshall University, and the best sites to find a high quality open textbook that you could adopt. Understand Creative Commons Licenses and what they permit you to do with an open textbook without obtaining copyright permissions.
