"Let us, as faith-based educators, become positive forces in the midst of the current global political environment, which tends to focus on borders and walls that divide and separate diverse people groups. Let us dare to be border crossers in the context of worldviews. We do not cross borders to leave our personal worldview behind. Nor do we cross into the space of another worldview, in order discover persons are “other” than us. Rather, those of us who are Christians cross borders to follow the command of Jesus, “Do to others as you would have them do to you” (Luke 6:31, NIV). In the spirit of this Golden Rule, we cross epistemological borders to find thoughtful colleagues and engage in academic discourse with them as we would want them to engage with us."
