There has been a blossoming of scholarly work on the Bhāgavata Purāṇa (BhP) in recent years.This work has brought renewed attention to, and appreciation of, a text that—as many have argued—has been neglected in the academic study of religion. In the present volume, Gopal Gupta echoes the later sentiment while continuing the efforts of his predecessors.
