About Lian Wang

Lian has over 20 years’ experience in biomedical research. Her research work evolved from basic molecular mechanism study, to investigating therapeutic effect of adult stem cells in tissue infarction, to providing statistical consultation and support to help collaborators uncover insights from data that could ultimately improve patient care. In her current role as a biostatistician in the Center for Cardiovascular Analytics, Research + Data Science (CARDS), she enjoys the opportunity being involved in many interesting research pursues, as well as the challenges and learning each research topic brings. Besides conducting statistical analysis/modeling, she also loves exploring effective data visualization to tell the stories in the data. Lian has a BS in Biology, an MS in Bioengineering, and a graduate certificate in Biostatistics.
