About Kristina DuRocher

My research focuses primarily on understanding identity, specifically how groups come to understand their own identity and the impact this has on their actions and worldviews.  As a historian of the New (or post-Civil War) South, my goal is to tell a story that has previously been overlooked, and in doing so, to reframe the larger narrative.
