Abstract

In this chapter, the authors use research and experience to support readers in the practical planning and intentional design of a faculty peer coaching initiative. This descriptive analysis explores decision-making focused on a framework which includes structure, curriculum, and impact. Each part of the framework is explored, including what questions to consider, how these questions are informed by research and impact the peer coaching design, in addition to examples and stories from the field to help illustrate the decision in action. The goal is to support readers in launching a thoughtful, intentional, well-supporting peer coaching initiative.
