Presentation
Advocating for Sustainability in Archives, Communities, and the Profession: A Behavioral Approach
New York Archives Conference (2010)
  • Kristen A. Yarmey, University of Scranton
Abstract

Many discussions of sustainability are centered on the technical aspects of going green (for example, green building strategies, LEED certification, or recycling). This presentation will instead focus on how archivists can advocate for sustainability in our various communities and will suggest behavior change tools, backed by empirical research, that archivists can use to encourage members of those communities to make sustainable choices.
