Celebrating Our Towns (and Gowns): Digital Collections and Collaborations
Pennsylvania Library Association Northeast Chapter Spring Workshop (2014)
  • Martina Soden
  • Kristen A. Yarmey, University of Scranton
Abstract

In this joint session, Martina Soden and Kristen Yarmey will lead a discussion on the growing importance of preserving and providing access to digitized and born digital materials in libraries. They will briefly present past, current, and future projects for the Lackawanna Valley Digital Archives and the University's Digital Collections and will also share other digital sources for local history materials. They will then open the floor for comments, questions, and suggestions, with a particular focus on exploring opportunities for collaboration on digital projects among Northeastern Pennsylvania libraries of all types.
