About Kristen Dickens

Prof. Dickens is an Associate Professor under the Dept. of Leadership, Technology, & Human Development at Georgia Southern University. She attended University of New Orleans where she received a Doctorate of Philosophy in Counselor Education (CACREP Accredited).

Her responsibilities at Georgia Southern include: maintaining a 3-3 face-to-face master’s-level course teaching load with a minimum of two hybrid courses in the summer; advising program students; aligning counseling curricula and experiences to current CACREP accreditation standards; serving as the program’s Clinic Coordinator; advising the university chapter of Chi Sigma Iota International Professional Academic Honor Society (CSI) for counseling; maintaining an active research agenda and scholarly publications; and participating in professional, university, college, departmental, and programmatic related service.
