My research focuses on the management of controversial materials such as pornography and erotica. This interest, at present, is focused on how we use cataloguing as a medium to convey underlying assumptions and perceptions of sexual(ized) content, particularly in online contexts where content is often amalgamated and organized by fans and amateurs.

I am also interested in topics such as sex work, gendered professions, the library as institution, online communities, and usability.
