About Kimberly Jayne

Kimberly Jayne, PhD, LPC, NCC, RPT, is an assistant professor of Counselor Education and the school counseling program coordinator at PSU. She completed her doctorate in counseling at the University of North Texas and specializes in child and adolescent counseling, school counseling, and play therapy. Dr. Jayne has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and families in school and clinical settings through counseling, consultation, and psychoeducational assessment. She is passionate about developing and researching effective counseling interventions to address the developmental, emotional, and mental health needs of children and their families, understanding relational variables and nonverbal processes that impact growth and change in counseling, and exploring mediators and moderators of therapeutic outcomes.
