Ms. Gay has co-edited/published three custom-made textbooks for the Department of Languages and Communications >> Public Speaking Handbook with additional readings- Pearson Custom Publishing, 2008, 2010, 2011.  Gay attended four HBUC Mellon Grant Information Literacy Leadership Institute Fellowships.  She served on 16 John B. Coleman Library Committees and chaired three. Editor of Campus-Wide Coleman Library Connections the Library electronic and print newsletter 2007-2010. Duke and Emory Universities’’ Copyright Certification for Educators and Librarians Program August 2018. National Society of Collegiate Scholars September 2019 Advisor of the month.  Marquis Who’s Who- Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award- November 2019. She graduated from Texas Woman’s University in Denton, Texas Magna Cum Laude 3.89 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communication (Print Journalism) with a double minor in Fashion Merchandising and Marketing & Sociology in 2003. She went on to receive a Master's Degree in Library Science and Information Studies, Suma Cum Laude 4.0 from TWU as well in May 2006.

GRANTS:
·         Project Director/ Co-Principal Investigator. November 2014. Historically Black Colleges and Universities Library Alliance approved a grant of $6,000.00 to the John B. Coleman Library to support development or expansion of programs to improve library services in support of faculty research. This grant is an integral part of the Expanding Library Support for Faculty Research in HBCUs project, funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.  (Principle Investigator Dr. Rosie L. ·         The BEST IN Forensic and Investigative Genomics Targeted Infusion project at Prairie View A&M University will support the University’s interest to establish a Forensics Academy composed of various Forensic disciplines including Forensic Science. Reliable and Credible Evidence Based authenticity Spring 2018. Summer Class 2018- Forensic Genealogy. Grant Funded for $500, 000 through the NEH. College of Arts and Sciences- Biology Department.
·         College of Juvenile Justice- Texas Juvenile Crime Prevention Center- Mach III- PVAMU AALX Males Workgroup Meeting. Grant proposal committee member- working on a community grant for k-12 schools- Waller and Harris County. Project Title: Racial/Ethnic Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity in Texas Schools: A School Climate Study with Administrators, Teachers, Parents, and Students. 2019-2023
