Dr. Keyur Chavda, originally from India, attended medical school at B. J. Medical College, Ahmedabad in India. Following medical school, he completed a General Surgery residency with the same college and continued on to practice General Surgery in India for three years. After moving to the United States, Dr. Chavda perused a five year General Surgery residency at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital, in Sayre, PA. He then went on to complete a one year fellowship in bariatric and minimally invasive surgery at the University of Florida in Jacksonville, FL. Dr. Chavda skillfully performs laparoscopic and open gastric bypass, laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy, laparoscopic gastric band, revisional bariatric surgery as well as many other bariatric, advance laparoscopic, robotic and general surgeries. Dr. Chavda performs surgery at Brandon Regional Hospital which is a Center of Excellence for Bariatric Care in Brandon, FL. Dr. Keyur Chavda is board certified by the American College of Surgeons, a member of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) and has published as well as presented many articles, videos and book chapters.
