About Kevin Clements

Professor Clements has a wide range of industry experience, having served as a consultant to Power Technologies Inc. of Schenectady, N.Y., consulting on state estimation, contingency analysis, optimal power flow, bulk power network reliability analysis, and load forecasting.
He has also worked with a variety of other organizations, including General Electric, Oak Ridge National Laboratories, Electric Power Research Institute, and Siemens’ Empros Power Systems Control division.
Professor Clements has served as program director for power systems for the National Science Foundation, a project engineer for Singer General Precision Company, and an engineer for General Electric.
He has taught electrical engineering as assistant, associate, and full professor at WPI since 1970. He holds a PhD and MS in systems science from Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn, and a BS in electrical engineering from Manhattan College.
