About Kelly Matthews

I am an Associate Professor in the English Department at Framingham State University, where I direct the Secondary Education program for students seeking Massachusetts state licensure to teach middle and high school English.

My scholarly research focuses on twentieth-century Irish literature, with a particular emphasis on the 1940s and 1950s.

My book, The Bell Magazine and the Representation of Irish Identity, was published in June, 2012 by Four Courts Press (Dublin, Ireland).

I have compiled an interactive online index of all of the articles, poems, short stories, and reviews published in The Bell during its print run (1940 to 1954), which is now available on Digital Commons.
