Abstract
Observing firsthand students with a common (North) American misconception that Africa
is a country rather than a continent, teaching students with African ancestry, and understanding
the need to help all students become more globally aware, this article provides educators with two examples of “Student Worksheets” integrating African flags into algebra classes.
