About Kathryn 'Katie' Kroeper

Kathryn 'Katie' Kroeper, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Sacred Heart University. She is a behavioral researcher that aims to identify and address social inequalities by using multiple research methods. Her research examines social identity threat, stereotyping and prejudice, social perception and cognition and attitudes and persuasion. Katie is published in scholarly journals such as Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, Social Psychological and Personality Science and Policy Insights from the Behavioral and Brain Sciences.

Katie's research on developing a social identity threat scale received 1st place in the STEAM category at the Edward F. Hayes Graduate Forum Oral Presentation Competition. She is also a The Ohio State University President’s Postdoctoral fellow. Katie has received many research and teaching and speaking recognition awards.

She earned her Ph.D. in Social Psychology from Indiana University and a B.A. in Psychology from Rutgers University.
