Can You Hear Me Now? Using Cell Phones and Role Play to Promote Interdisciplinary Classroom Connections

Abstract
Faculty and students from the UF Science Education Program recently participated in the annual meetings of the National Science Teacher Association (NSTA) and the National Association for Research in Science Teaching (NARST). The meetings were held in Philadelphia, PA. NSTA is the largest science teacher organization in the world and NARST is one of the world’s leading research organizations for science education. UF graduate students Michelle Klosterman, Jennifer Mesa and Katie Milton along with P. K. Yonge teacher, Michele Krank, presented innovative teaching and learning ideas at the NSTA conference. UFTeach Master Teacher Griff Jones and Troy Sadler, a science education faculty member, also participated in the NSTA conference.
