About Kathy M. Gillen

Kathy Gillen joined the Kenyon faculty in 2000 after a post-doctoral position at Yale University studying the membrane targeting of G protein subunits using yeast as a model system. In 2019 she began researching the molecular mechanisms underpinning regeneration in the annelid worm Lumbriculus variegatus. Gillen enjoys mentoring student research and teaching classes at the introductory,  200, and 300 level.  In her spare time she enjoys bird-watching, running, reading, and attending Kenyon sporting events.
