About Kathryn A. Kinnucan-Welsch

Kathryn A. Kinnucan-Welsch is a professor within the department of Teacher Education. Her courses taught at UD include, EDT 109 Personal Aspects of Teaching, EDT 110 The Profession of Teaching, EDT 667 Educational Research Seminar, EDT 683 Professional Development in Literacy, and EDT 609 Issues, Trends, and Research in Reading. Her research interests lie in the professional development for teachers, literacy coaching, and novice teacher development and support.
She has been involved with the International Reading Association, American Educational Research Association, Phi Delta Kappa, Kappa Delta Pi, and the Ohio Council of the International Reading Association. She has also served on the review boards for Reading Horizons and Teacher Education and Practice, and was an executive board member of the Ohio Council for Private Colleges of Teacher Education.
