About Kathryn Cornell Dolan

Dr. Dolan received her BA in English from UC Los Angeles in 1997, her MA in English from San Jose State University in 2002, and her PhD in English with an emphasis in Global Studies from UC Santa Barbara in 2010. Prior to joining the faculty at S&T, Dr. Dolan was a postdoctoral scholar in the English department at University of South Florida.

Dr. Dolan has also presented papers at the MLA, PAMLA, NeMLA, ALA, and CEA conferences, in addition to the "Writing for Liberty" conference in Lancaster University, England.

Dr. Dolan has taught survey courses in early-U.S. literature, regional U.S. literature, the nineteenth-century short story, food studies in literature and film, and composition. At S&T, she teaches the early-American, American Renaissance, and American Gothic courses, and taught courses on Mark Twain and Global Foods in London in Spring, 2015.

Dr. Dolan was promoted to associate professor of English and technical communication with tenure effective Sep 1, 2018.
