Abstract
Academic integrity is a hot button issue. At a time when it appears that breaches of integrity are more common, there is a shift within the sector asking academics to see integrity as an educative, rather than a punitive matter. This presentation reports the results of a survey regarding the overarching academic integrity policy framework, and its subsequent implementation and evaluation across a network of Australian private providers of higher education. The results reveal that the majority of respondents are making the shift from punishing to educating students about the importance of how knowledge is constructed.
