Curatorial Statement: Electronic Literature Exhibit at Library of Congress
Library of Congress (2013)
  • Kathi Berens, Portland State University
Abstract
In "The Catalog and the Ephemeral," I situate electronic literature in the context of the collections of the world's largest library. I present some of the most interesting books I curated to accompany the six stations of electronic literature. Co-curated with Electronic Literature Organization President Dene Grigar, whose collection of old devices at her Electronic Literature Lab, and her transport of them to Washington D.C., made this exhibit possible.
