Abstract
KidsMatter Early Childhood (KMEC) is a mental health promotion and early intervention initiative developed for early childhood services. In 2010-2011 the initiative was trialled with over 5,000 children from 111 long day care services and preschools across Australia. This report evaluates the implementation of the initiative in the 10 sites that had relatively higher proportions of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander children. The evaluation investigated how services responded to the KMEC model and identified any gaps and local adaptations.
