Description
In Spring 2023, IMSA’s Mod 8 Spanish 3 class wrote a book with science fiction stories based on real scientific articles. It involved selecting several articles that are based on real scientific concepts or theories, analyzing them, and using them as inspiration for writing original science fiction stories. Students explored how real science can be used to create compelling fiction, and learned to write creatively while also incorporating scientific accuracy. The project included presentations of the stories by the autors and peer feedback sessions. Overall, this project encouraged the students to think critically about the intersection of science and fiction, and to develop their skills as both writers and critical thinkers.
