Abstract
In IMSA's 20th Century class, students studied classical liberalism and how it has been critiqued. This paper studies Milan Hodža and how during his time as Prime Minister of Czechoslovakia he wanted to unite Central Europe under one federal government. This paper argues this plan's themes were the same as some parts of the definition of classical liberalism. Even when not under a liberal government, some countries may argue for liberal actions when in distress. This paper uses writing by Milan Hodža and events that had taken place after Germany rose to power. There are some edits that need to be made in regard to the in-text citations and Chicago format.
