Abstract
Aristobulus was a philosopher during the Hellenistic period with a unique history and an even more unique thought process. Aristobulus sought to define the intersection between Hebrew Scripture/Jewish beliefs and Greek Culture. He interpreted anthropomorphic metaphors in Hebrew scripture, as well as sought to confirm that Plato drew inspiration from Mosaic Law. As a person, Aristobulus' studies on philosophy are interesting because he lacks credibility, the basics of his teachings are flawed, the way his texts were preserved for future generations had a bias, and he lived so long ago that many things are not certain. Even still, Aristobulus' life and philosophy is fascinating and worth learning about.
