Generation Relation Project Launch
Civic Engagement cohort of North Central College's Freedom for Knowledge: Civic Humanities Project / North Central College (2023)
  • Kate DeGreve, '24, Illinois Math and Science Academy
Abstract
A result of the Civic Engagement cohort of North Central College's Freedom for Knowledge: Civic Humanities Project, I am working with the support of my professors, peers, and fellow student/co-founder, Rida to create a connection program between high school volunteers and seniors in assisted living communities. We are doing this to attempt to help improve quality life in order to fight against the rising mental health problems in seniors as a result of unique living situations. This presentation was presented at the banquet ending the summer session at North Central College. This project is still in progress.
