About Karlijn Kuijpers

Karlijn Kuijpers received her Ph.D. in victimology from Tilburg University, the Netherlands in 2011. Prior to joining the faculty at UMSL, she worked as an assistant professor at Leiden University in the Netherlands. Her main research interest involves crime victimization, with a particular focus on the risk of intimate partner violence. She is also interested in the victim-offender overlap and perceptions on victims/victimization.
