China the Way Forward (2010)

Abstract
Chinese firms face at least two principal challenges: the human resources challenge and the host country challenge. To address the human resources challenge, Chinese MNEs must select managers at all levels who can successfully manage international operations. To address the host country challenge, Chinese MNEs should work to become insiders by observing laws and regulations, develop linkages with enterprises in the host country, engaging in philanthropic activities and contributing to the economic growth and development. Such steps can help ensure the success of Chinese MNEs.
