Dean for Administration and Finance
As Dean of Administration and Finance at CCT College Dublin and a member of the CCT Executive Leadership Team, Karl is responsible for the operational and strategic management of Admissions; Facilities, IT Services and Procurement ensuring compliance with legislation and the requirements of a broad range of stakeholders including Quality and Qualifications Ireland and the Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service. As part of this remit, Karl leads a team across Admissions and IT. He also contributes to institutional budgeting and financial planning and works closely with the President to inform the strategic vision of the College. Karl's flair for Design and IT Management is reflected in the calibre of the College Campus which is located in a newly restored historical building in Dublin's city centre on Westmorland St. The CCT College Campus has Action Learning suites; Creative Learning spaces, Disabled Access Certification, a Corporate Training Suite; Induction Loop systems in all learning spaces and state of the art teaching and learning resources.
in 2019, Karl led the design and construction of a new institutional library. Along with other members of the CCT Executive Leadership Team, Karl plays a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of blended learning programmes with the acquisition and installation of Zoom software, screencasting software and other online teaching and learning tools. The success of his work on the IT infrastructure of the College is captured in the findings of the Irish National Digital Experience Survey conducted by the National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning as well as institutional surveys in which students highly rate the IT infrastructure of the College. In 2021, Karl oversaw the installation of e-learning and recording studios. Kart has a BSc in Construction Management , a postgraduate qualification in strategic IT and a career background in project management.
