(2020)

Abstract
The goal of this research project is to work with selected airport(s) that face many challenges and which are important for local population and economies that depend on international transportation for accessibility and connectivity and interactions with the global community and markets.
The project will propose ways in which to strengthen organizational and resilient performance and mitigate damage caused by events on either infrastructure or people. The research will demonstrate how we can best account for their resilience (or resilience potentials) and how this can be continuously evaluated as a basis for ensuring that it is maintained/sustained. The methodology used for this project is based on a resilience engineering method developed by Professor Erik Hollnagel and applied to some selected airports.
